I hasn't been active on FB for more than a year. The reason I stayed away from FB in the first place was to block out unwanted and superficial noise. I don't want to see the lives of "friends" that I could care less about: People I used to know like...uh...10 years ago; friends of my "friends"; and people I hated. I mean, do I really care about that superficial sense of connection? After that one year, I actually let go of my rather unpleasant past and rarely think about the pain from it anymore. I feel free.
And then I thought about erasing myself from facebook. I thought "Why not?" because it would bring me another plus: I don't want myself seen in there even tho I set my profile to "private." What I have less control over is people on facebook tagging me in their pictures. No facebook profile? No photos tagged with my identity. So I deleted (not deactivate) my FB profile.
Feels damn good.
